Well there is no one-size-fits-all method here, simply because what works well for some children might not work as well for others. One method that works well is the distraction method as this involves diverting their attention onto something else, making them forget what they were getting furious about whilst having a tantrum.
You may also overlook their bad behaviour, so as not to give them the attention they want, and reward good behaviour. If they behave badly then you could also create a time out zone in the house where you can put them in for a couple of minutes which will give them some time to think about their improper behaviour.
